There are many trails and lakes to explore in and around Saint Pardoux-Corbier. Lubersac and Ségur Le Château have many signposted walking routes. Maps are available from the respective tourist offices.
The nearest lake is within walking distance at Saint Pardoux Corbier. There is also a pretty lake to walk around in Lubersac. Both lakes are often surrounded by fishermen.
There are larger swimming lakes with artificial beaches at Lac de Pontcharal in Vigeois (20 minutes‘ drive), Camping Le Domaine des Forges in Masseret (25 minutes’ drive) and Lac de la Roche in Meuzac (30 minutes' drive). These lakes have restaurants/bars open in high season.
There are a number of riding schools in the region, the nearest being Verrechia Nicole in Saint-Martin-Sepert and Les Ecuries du Mas in Saint-Sornin-Lavolps.
Uzerche is the nearest centre for exploring the Vézère river at Vézère Passion Sport Resort, but there are also canoeing and kayaking centres on the Dordogne at Argentat and Beaulieu Sur Dordogne, about an hour's drive away.
JCS Karting is a karting centre located just 2 km from the hotel. There is also mini golf and paintball on the same site.
The nearest flights take off from Pompadour and offer superb views of the Corrèze countryside: available all year round with Escapade Montgolfière.
There are golf courses in Limoges and Brive, both around 40 minutes' drive away.

Our village, Saint-Pardoux-Corbier, holds a market every Wednesday evening (5pm - 11pm) during July and August. Stalls sell local produce (Limousin beef/meat/sausages, bread, trout, vegetables, salad, wine, jam/honey, fruit, etc.) which can be bought and eaten at the long tables provided. Large barbecues are available so you can cook your steak to your heart's content! There's also a bar selling reasonably priced drinks, a crêperie and a place to buy hot chips to go with your steak. Various local bands offer live music.
The market in Objat (25-30 minutes to the south) is held every Sunday morning. The stalls sell everything from tablecloths to live geese, from jewellery to horsemeat! There are more stalls during the summer months, but the market remains fairly busy during the winter.
Lubersac has a local farmers' market every Friday afternoon. It's not always very big (between 5 and 15 stalls depending on the time of year and the weather!) but the produce is very good quality.
France's bank holidays is celebrated in style at Pompadour (less than ten minutes' drive away). Every year, crowds gather on the racecourse in front of the château to watch a spectacular fireworks display with music; admission is free.
The Haras National de Pompadour organises numerous show-jumping, cross-country and dressage events throughout the summer, as well as races every Sunday afternoon on the impressive course in the centre of the town.
The medieval town of Ségur Le Château (listed as one of the ‘most beautiful villages in France’) organises a jazz festival every July, the dates of which vary.
St Robert (also listed as one of the ‘most beautiful villages in France’) offers classical music performances in and around the village in July and August. The ‘Festival de La Vezere’ offers classical music and opera in local churches in July and August.
Local strawberry production is celebrated in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne in June and raspberry production in Conceze in July.
