Markets

Our village, Saint-Pardoux-Corbier, holds a market every Wednesday evening (5pm - 11pm) during July and August. Stalls sell local produce (Limousin beef/meat/sausages, bread, trout, vegetables, salad, wine, jam/honey, fruit, etc.) which can be bought and eaten at the long tables provided. Large barbecues are available so you can cook your steak to your heart's content! There's also a bar selling reasonably priced drinks, a crêperie and a place to buy hot chips to go with your steak. Various local bands offer live music.

The market in Objat (25-30 minutes to the south) is held every Sunday morning. The stalls sell everything from tablecloths to live geese, from jewellery to horsemeat! There are more stalls during the summer months, but the market remains fairly busy during the winter.

Lubersac has a local farmers' market every Friday afternoon. It's not always very big (between 5 and 15 stalls depending on the time of year and the weather!) but the produce is very good quality.
