Markets
Our local village, Saint-Pardoux-Corbier, hosts a market each Wednesday evening (17:00 – 23:00) during July and August. There are stalls selling local produce (Limousin beef/meat/sausages, bread, trout, vegetables, salad, wine, jam/honey, fruit etc) which can be purchased and eaten at the long tables provided. Large barbecues are available for everyone to use so you can cook your steak just how you like it! There is also a bar selling reasonably priced drinks, a crêperie and a place to buy hot chips to go with your steak. A variety of local bands provide live music.
Objat (25 – 30 minutes south) market is held every Sunday morning. There are stalls selling everything from tablecloths to live geese and jewellery to horse meat! There is more of a selection of stalls during the summer months but it is still fairly busy throughout the winter.
Lubersac has a local producers market every Friday afternoon, it’s not always very big (between 5 and 15 stalls depending on the time of year and the weather!) but the produce is very good quality.
